Daily photo blog, traveling photo's. ทุกภาพ...ทุกสิ่ง...ทุกสถานที่...ต่างมีความหมาย...มีทางเดินของมัน...

I seldom take a snapshot of people without their permission.
I just think it's rude and disrespectful.
Most of them here, were allowed by the person in focus.
As they come and go like the wind, their present that was warm and welcome,
still linger and till the day I die.

Two playful girls in around Beijing area, 2001

Father, daughter in a very tiny box like shop, Beijing, 2001

The man and his goats, Beijing countryside, 2001

Opera singer somehere at Beijing underground.
She sang beautifully!

Of all the people, I was most touched by this family.

He was so friendly this goats ran away.

The man would agree to give us the best deal, if his picture turns out nice.
I don't quite remember which fruits we bought from him, but does it matter?

One last day in Yunnan, it was the only day that the weather was ever good enough for us to come outside with a sun shiny smile on our face.
That afternoon, one last afternoon together, after checking out from one of the cheapest hotel in town.
Because we were too tired to look for that cheapest hostel. We both got ourselfs wandering around before goodbye. That's when we found this park where surprisingly 80 procent of the people who were there to be senior or parents with their children.
I guess it was the first time I ever saw the true China. Seing a place like such on a regular working day in the afternoon. The place where people meet up, chatting, praying, singing and making music from the heart. And most of the songs, even I do not understand, were all about the Great leader.
While I sat there, looking almost like the locals, but not nearly good enough to say I am local,
by the curiousity that sparkles all around me and the little camera I have in my hand.
They know, I'm not around here. It was nice, or else, I wouldn't see their daily routines at it's best.

We can not undone the past, but we can improve the future.

A beautiful Tai girl, at the Yunnan minority village.
They say the Tai's are Thais, by their similar culture.
